Fire Fighting Technician

📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Fighting Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of fire fighting systems, including sprinklers, fire pumps, hydrants, hose reels, and suppression systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Install fire fighting systems as per drawings and specifications.
• Maintain and repair fire pumps, piping networks, sprinkler heads, hose reels, fire extinguishers, and valves.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure proper functionality and code compliance.
• Identify faults and troubleshoot fire fighting system issues efficiently.
• Work with supervisors and engineers to implement system upgrades or modifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, tests, and maintenance performed.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with local fire safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other MEP teams during project execution.

✅ Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, wet and dry risers, and other fire protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and local fire code regulations.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces.

🎯 Preferred Qualifications:

• Fire Fighting Technician certification or vocational training.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, hospitals, or industrial projects.
• Valid safety training certifications (e.g., Work at Heights, Confined Space Entry).

🕒 Working Conditions:

• Field-based work across multiple project sites.
• May require overtime, weekend work, or emergency call-outs.
• PPE and safety gear provided.
